IBERFLORA’12 WILL HOST A ROUND TABLE ON THE PROJECT “THE GREEN COMMUNITY”

In the framework of the 41st edition of Iberflora, International Fair of Plants and Flowers, Technology and DIY Gardening, the Round Table “The Green Community” will be held next October at Valencia Fair.

This initiative, comprised of the most outstanding associations of the gardening and green areas sector, aims to promote cooperation among the different organizations linked to the green sector in Spain, with the objective of implementing a strategy of communication that promotes the development of a “gardening culture” to highlight this strategic activity for the health, well-being and sustainability of society.

In order to study this proposal in depth, in the round table to be hosted by Iberflora the current situation in the sector will be debated, as well as what collaboration among organization could mean for “green” promotion in society.

This new encounter will be a continuation of the round tables and meetings held since September 2011, in which representatives of various associations have participated, such as the Spanish Association of Arboriculture (AEA), the Spanish Association of Gardening Centres (AECJ), the Spanish Association of Greenkeepers (AEdG), the Spanish Association of Landscape Architects (AEP), the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens (AEPJP), the Business Association for the Protection of Plants (AEPLA), the Association of Spanish Manufacturers for Water and Irrigation (AFRE), the National Association of Agricultural Machinery, Forestry and Green Spaces (ANSEMAT), the Association of Preparers of Land and Substrates for Crops (APTYS), the Spanish Association of Gardening Companies (ASEJA), the Association of Landscape and Environment Restorers (ASERPYMA), the Spanish Federation of Gardening Companies (FEEJ), and the Spanish Federation of Associations of Producers and Exporters of Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers and Live Plants (FEPEX).
